After School Club
After school club runs from Monday to Thursday afternoons, 3.30 – 6.00pm during the school term time.
A child is offered a place (one day a week) following an assessment to highlight their needs ensuring that they are placed in a suitable group.
Children from Milestone School are collected by the Spring Centre. Children from other schools need to be dropped off at the Centre by their transport from 3.30pm.
Please let us know by the morning if your child will not be attending a session of after school club. This allows us to keep food wastage costs down. If you do not inform the Centre that your child will not be coming you will be charged the session cost.
Healthy Eating
All dinners are freshly cooked daily, just before the children arrive from school. We encourage healthy eating and can adapt the menu to suit different diets. We must be informed of any allergies/diets to food a child may have.
Medication
If your child takes regular medication, or is temporary taking any medicine which needs to be given whilst at the Centre, please issue staff with a signed letter of authority, stating the medication, the dose and times of dose. We can only administer medication if it is in the original packet with the child’s name printed on the chemist label.
Collecting your Child
Please collect your child from the Centre at 6pm prompt. The staff work a long day so they are keen to get home. If you are late it means they have to stay behind. If you are more than 5 minutes late a £5 late fee may be requested. If you need someone else to pick your child up, please phone the Centre to let us know, and please make sure that your appointed person has the password you registered for your child.
Payment
The payment for after school club is a token payment which the Centre has subsidised to keep the cost down. Payments must be made weekly, unless an arrangement has been made to pay monthly. To keep your child’s place all arrears must be paid by the end of each school term.
Contact Numbers
Parents must inform the Centre of any changes in their contact details. It is imperative to be able to contact you or an appointed person in an emergency.
