Ann Cleeves
Ann, is a author of 37 critically acclaimed novels, and in 2017 was awarded the CWA Diamond Dagger, the highest accolade in crime writing. She is the creator of popular detectives Vera Stanhope, Jimmy Perez and Matthew Venn, who can be found on television in ITV’s Vera, BBC One’s Shetland and ITV’s The Long Call respectively. The TV series and the books they are based on have become international sensations, capturing the minds of millions worldwide. Ann says ‘I’m delighted to become the patron of The Spring Centre, a fantastic local resource for children and young adults with learning disabilities and their parents and carers. I have a family connection to the area, so that makes it even more special.’
