Support us Volunteer

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young adults with additional needs including learning disability, autism, global delay, Down’s Syndrome? 

We are looking for volunteers of any age and background to join our team at our day centre in Quedgeley, Gloucester 

We have a variety of volunteer roles available including:

Support Worker

Can you give us a couple of hours on a regular or adhoc basis to help our support workers, to entertain, help with activities or supporting trips out?

You will always be with one of our staff and will be given direction on what is needed.

Cook

Do you have a couple of hours or more, every other week or more often, on a rotational basis to prepare a healthy nutritious meal for our After-School Club (term time only)
2.30pm – 4.00pm Mon – Thurs.

Minibus Driver

We need drivers on an adhoc basis to take our attendees to external activities. Staff will always be in attendance for these trips. If you are willing and able to drive a minibus and have time to be called upon when needed, please contact us.

  • For return trips to Milestone School, for After School Club    2.30pm – 4.00pm Mon – Thurs (term time only)
  • For excursions by Young Adults, to external activities
  • For excursions in school holidays for children and families

Share your Skills

If you prefer to volunteer remotely and/or out of Spring Centre opening hours, we have opportunities for anyone with expertise/experience in the following areas:

  • Digital/social media
  • IT
  • Finance
  • Marketing

The funds you raise help us carry out the vital work we do. Your generous donations help with the following:

£10 – Supplies sensory play, art, and cooking materials for activity sessions

£25 – Funds a one-hour sensory room session for exploratory learning

£50 – Covers a new client assessment to create a personalised support plan

£100 – Fuels a minibus for a month, supporting pickups and outings

£500 – Supports a week of essential running costs, helping deliver vital services to 100+ families
